MIA

No,I haven't stopped making mail art. Just a wee bit lazy to update the blog and to be honest, I forget to take photos of the pieces I make.

Here's one that I made for a turquoise themed mail art call.

My mail box has been very happy recently
Always a pleasure opening my mail box

Such a dreary corner. Hmmm, here's a thought, I might just add some colour to my box...
Stamps stamps stamps .....I just love them....

A dear friend of mine from Germany sent me a wonderful package filled with stamps and postcards. Thank you Michael...

Monday Mania

Despite my best intentions for the weekend, I didn't even come close to making mail art.

So after a Monday filled with exciting proposal language : Goals, Outcomes, Activities, Progress Markers, I really looked forward to spending time in my little artsy corner.

I think it's becoming an addiction - a wonderful one actually. Well ask Maji and Love Bird, my two flatmates. They did try to distract me but were unsuccessful.

"Hear no distractions and See no distractions"

So I set out to make some wonderful mail art for two of my work colleagues and two postcrossing friends.

Finished products, I had to add the shell in this pic to hide the address.
# 3 Maraia the Fashionista

Using playing cards as the outline, I made Maraia a set of fashion cards complete with fashion tips.
# 4 Angie

Recycling Premium Movie Envelope for this particular mail. It's Angie's last week at work and I found the perfect vehicle to take us across to Sydney for a visit.

# 2 for aLacOnDa

I just love making mail art. Despite a long day of meetings, numerous emails and trying to get my head around this darn proposal, I really look forward to making mail.

I had someone in mind. Alanieta or aLacOnDa, our resident dancer is a lover of Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaj songs.

Ala is the life of the party, well any party....

No one and I mean NO ONE (in this office i.e) can beat Ala at twerking...

An ex-ACS student, Ala's stories about life as a boarder gave me the idea for her mail.

Awww what a bunch of good looking gals :)

Humble beginnings & Veenakshi's Surprise

And so my journey into mail art commenced yesterday. Despite no water supply at Bakshi (coz Maji paid for the wrong water meter bill - gee thanks ::); oh well we survived.

  1. So I found an old discarded table and turned it into my workstation - check
  2. Old magazines, books and more books for inspiration from my very own Value City Limited - check
  3. Stationery - check
  4. Time - check
  5. Person of interest - check
So here's to the rest of the 364 days of making mail art.
